Thunder 89  76ers 74:  It is no mystery that we here at Josh Q. Public are big Kevin Durant fans.  That’s what makes this so hard.  Last night the Thunder beat Philadelphia.  Beat ‘em pretty good like.  One might say beat ‘em like a rented mule.  One might.  Not me.  I have enough troubles.  I don’t need PETA breathing down my neck.  Beat the Sixers like rented mules without Kevin Durant.

Kevin Durant averaged 30.6 points per game during the month of February.  The Thunder lost nine of twelve games during the month of February. But with Durant sidelined with a sprained ankle, Oklahoma City has posted a 4-1 record.  The Thunder allowed an average of 104.8 points per 48 minutes with Durant on the floor, 9.0 points more than their average without him.  Like the man says, defense wins championships.  You better listen what the man says.

Spurs 103  Suns 98:   What has gotten into this Tony Parker character?  Last night, Tony Parker scored thirty big points in the Spurs’ win over the Suns. Big deal you say?  Who cares you say?  I say it was Parker’s ninth 30-point game this season.  I say that more than double his previous single-season high.  I say Parker posted exactly four 30-point games in each of the past three seasons.  I say I’ll have what he’s having.

Penguins 4  Capitals 3:  Some folks say Sunday is the Lord’s day.  Not me.  I say it’s Alexander Ovechkin’s day.  Yes Washington lost yesterday, but Ovie did his part.  He got a goal.  He’s got prospects.  He’s bonafide.  Bonafide with at least one goal in each of his last six Sunday games.  Bonafide with a pair of hat tricks.  Bonafide with eleven goals.  What are you?

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!
